BT survey reveals Brits using broadband on holiday
Published: November 10th 2009
A new survey by broadcast giant BT has revealed that Brits just can't live without broadband! The investigation, conducted by BT Mobile Broadband and VisitBritain, found that we turn to the internet on an every-day basis – even when we're supposedly taking a break from it all on holiday.
A shocking two-thirds of workers would prefer to while away the hours on the web, in contract to a third who put a romantic break with their partner top of the list. And while most might assume it's the youngsters who like to stay connected, the report showed that the over-50 age group would take their laptop away with them on holiday.
With the advent of faster mobile broadband, it makes it even easier to stay in touch and up-to-date with online activity while on the move.
