O2 Broadband customers get new phone service
Published: January 18th 2010
Broadband provider O2 is upping its game by offering a brand new home phone service from March this year. The exclusive facility will only be available to current O2 home broadband customers, making up a special bundled offer.
Two different packages will be made available; Evening & Weekend, unlimited evening and weekend calls for £9.50 per month, or the Anytime deal for £12.50 a month. The new packages will be offered to those who have a BT landline and can be combined with the standard 02 broadband service from £17.50 per month.
Both packages offer a selection of standard services including Last Caller Idand Hide My Number. There are additional add on services that can be purchased separately – check out O2’s website for details.
The new Evening & Weekend and Anytime packages will be available from just £17 per month with a standard broadband package, including line rental. The competitive move comes just weeks after the broadcasting giant slashed prices on a number of mobile broadband products.
O2’s UK Marketing Director, Sally Cowdry, explained, “This is the most important launch for us in the home space since we entered the broadband market and is part of our strategy to evolve beyond mobile to a leading connectivity brand. We know how many of our customers value the convenience of paying for their home phone and broadband together with no hidden extra costs, and we will be bringing the same commitment to quality of service with our home phone service as we have successfully established with our broadband service.”
