Virgin Media offers six months free mobile internet
Published: June 06th 2011
Virgin Media's 'Addict' SIM is offering the customer six months of mobile internet for only £25. What is great about this option is the fact that it grants access to 1GB of data transfer per month. This promotion started on May 27th and will end next year in January.
Once a customer buys the voucher, it can activate it anytime he or she wants. After activation, the user can easily check the validity of the service by sending a text message or calling Virgin directly by dialing 789. Another possibility is to visit the company’s website directly from the mobile device.
If the customers go above the 1GB monthly limit they should not worry too much as there is a standard charge rate – 309p for 25MB of data or the £2/MB if the connection goes beyond the 25MB.
Jamie Heywood, the director of Virgin mobile, said: “This new offer is a fantastically affordable way to take advantage of the mobile web for ‘prepay’ customers. With consumers looking for ways to get the best value possible, this new offer is perfect for the cost-conscious social networker.”
It is an easy to use offer which grants access to an amount of data comfortable for any of those who want something cheap and basic.
Customers will have access to 1GB of data after the six months are over and also benefit from an option called Addict top up at £15 per month. 1GB of data will cost £5 or they can choose a standard daily rate.
The period is long enough for people to decide whether or not the offer coming from Virgin is affordable and well established. January 3 is the date when the offer halts and the normal rate comes back again, but a summer of cheap mobile internet is worth the try.
