Published: 22/10/2009 by Comments

New customers who sign up to a Direct Line car insurance policy will enjoy eight weeks worth of insurance on their vehicle absolutely free! This latest offer, designed to help motorists through the recession, is available until 30th November this year. The deal also includes the Direct Line Vandalism and Uninsured Driver promise, which means that motorists will keep their no claims excesses and discount should they be hit by an uninsured driver or have their car vandalised.

The announcement from Direct Line comes hot on the heels of a flurry of reports and surveys that have revealed how motorists are scrimping on car insurance in order to save money as the credit crunch bites. Experts have warned drivers to remember the long time financial problems this can cause should they come into trouble while on the roads, and have advised people to shop around for discounted deals like this one.

Head of marketing at Direct Line, Kerry Chilvers, explained, “Direct Line is well known for providing outstanding products and services and, in the current financial climate, our offers highlight the fact that we have some of the best value products on the market.”
