The New Egg Visa Credit Card launched

Egg Banking has announced the launch of a new rewards credit card, which offers consumers a 10% cash-back on purchases from any of the more than 1,500 retail vendors available through the new Egg Cash Back Superstore.

With the Egg Visa Credit Card, both new and existing customers can enjoy offers from a wide range of online merchants, including retailers, supermarkets, hotels and travel agents. The card comes with no annual service charge.

For new customers, Egg will levy 0% interest on purchases until September 1, 2010. The bank will also charge a 0% service fee on all balance transfer until August 1, 2011. In addition, the card offers online shoppers complete peace of mind with purchase protection and delivery insurances.

Harald Schneider, head of cards at Egg Banking, said that the bank was confident the credit card offers the best deals around. The card’s cash based reward system, comprehensive online shopping protection and great offers, customers will be hard-pressed to find better deals anywhere else.

* Balance Transfers: 0% until 1 August 2011 (conditions and 3% fee apply).

* Access to the Egg Cash Back Store with cash back offers from over 1,500 well-known online retailers including supermarkets, fashion and entertainment retailers, hotels and travel agents.

* Purchases: 0% until 1 September 2010.

* Protection for the things you buy with complimentary purchase protection and internet delivery guarantee insurances.
