Gamers are getting excited as release dates for The Red Dead Redemption 2 have been released ahead of time.
According to UK retailer Littlewoods, the game is set for release on October 2, 2017.
There appears to be some confusion surrounding this release date and it is not certain whether or not this is a placeholder, or whether the date has been leaked.
It has been confirmed by Rockstar that there will be an autumn 2017 release date for the Xbox One and the PS4.
It does seem to be an early launch date; however, only time will tell.
Gamers should also take into consideration that Rockstar has got a habit of delaying the release of their games.
The first launch of Red Dead Redemption (RDR) was pushed back an extra month to make last minute improvements. Even if Littlewoods was correct in their estimate, no one really knows what will really happen.
Recent reports have stated that part 2 of the game will have a similar layout to the game play twist in Grand Theft Auto 5 (GTA V).
One insider source states that there will be three characters launched with the new title, similar to Michael, Trevor and Franklin in GTA V.
“The game is going to consist of an open world, gang hideouts, stranger events and a single player story,” says the insider.
Provided that this is true, this is great news. This Rockstar insider is pretty reliable, and accurately revealed online updates for the last two GTA 5 games.
In their RDR 2 press release, Rockstar did state that there would be an online mode included and that it would feature heavily in the development of the game.
According to the insider, just like with GTA 5, the online mode will be released later on.
